Upgrade in Progress ... Revisted

Okay, so I decided to upgrade the blog a couple of months ago ... back in February or March ... feels so long ago now. Anyway the upgrade started and then things broke and I finally have the blog engine going again. It is still on Movable Type, albeit version 4.2. The plan is to keep the old design for now and slowly fold in the new features so as not to break anything.

Let me know if you spot any quirks ... some of the text characters went funny during the database restoration/migration stuff.

Grace & peace,

Deji.

Bible Study now starts on the 15th

Hi all,

Bible study start date has been moved back one week and instead of today, will start next Wed. the 15th. The first study we do will be using "The Practice of the Presence of God" (by Brother Lawrence) as a study guide with the bulk of reading coming from the Psalms. I'll send an e-mail out and for those of you that do not already have a copy of "Practice", you can order one online here.

Pax,
Deji.

New Stuff for '06

Happy New Year everyone! Hope your year is off to a wonderful start and all is well with you and yours. Just a quick heads up on some new "stuff" that we will try to implement as part of Foot Of The Cross.

i) Service/Volunteering: An easy way to start this is to just go ahead and join an existing effort. So, I thought it would be a good idea to join the CrossTrainers group volunteering on the 21st of this month at Bread of Life (St. John's - Downtown).

ii) Mid-Week Bible Study: Will be starting a mid-week Bible study and need some feedback from those of you that might be interested. I should be able to host this and will firm up some details shortly. In the meantime, pls. send your thoughts on what you'd like a Bible study to be for you. Do you need a guys/gals only study? Are there certain issues you'd like the study to address or a certain format you'd like it to have? What day and/or time is ideal for you? etc.

Blessings,
Deji.
